Ultrasona

Why choose Ultrasona?

At Ultrasona Fetal Fotos our focus is unique. The traditional prenatal ultrasound is enhanced by family-centered, advanced imaging methods to bring you closer to your baby, sooner. During each study, attentive technicians use the highest quality 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging to connect parents to their baby and show development during that particular stage of pregnancy. We have seen time and time again that through this process, parents feel more connected to the pregnancy and increase their commitment to their prenatal health.

Does Ultrasona take medical insurance?

The ultrasounds provided by Ultrasona are elective in nature and are a supplement to the diagnostic ultrasounds done by your doctor at 18-23 weeks.

Therefore, we do not accept insurance; you are responsible for the full payment at the time of your appointment. However, you may submit your receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if the service is covered by your individual provider.

What type of payments does Ultrasona accept?

We accept debit, cash, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover).

We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are unable to accept personal checks.

Can I bring my family?

This can be the most fun appointment of your pregnancy and we welcome your loved ones to be a part of this moment. Your family and friends can come and relax on our comfortable couch and watch your baby on our wall mounted flat screen LCD TV.

We also welcome children, though we do recommend that you bring someone to help with very small children. It can be a wonderful time of bonding for all involved. We do ask you to remember that this is time for you and your family and we advise you use caution in inviting anyone with whom you are not comfortable.

What kind of training do your technicians receive?

Ultrasona employs ultrasound technicians from a variety of training backgrounds. Some are licensed, registered technicians (ARDMS), others are certified through clinical ultrasound schools around the country, and still others have been trained directly under the supervision of Ultrasona. Whatever the educational background or years of diagnostic experience the technician has before coming to Ultrasona, the imaging techniques exclusive to Ultrasona require the same lengthy period of intensive training and supervised scanning.

Do you perform three- and four-dimensional ultrasound?

We are the nation's leader in three- and four-dimensional techniques and find the technology to be a tool of great benefit when used in conjunction with "regular" (2D) Studies. We provide complimentary pictures and video in all dimensions, depending on the ultrasound package that you choose.

How early can you find the gender?

Ultrasound, for the purpose of gender determination, is optimal beginning at 17 weeks.

Our technicians are highly skilled at using the ultrasound technology to our best advantage in determining gender and, despite the inherent imperfections in any technology, have an unsurpassed accuracy rate.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes. Having a schedule allows us to guarantee your time for your ultrasound. We are open throughout the week and on Saturdays, we even have evening appointments to cater to the times that work best for you. Call to set up your appointment at 503-452-3146.

How long do appointments take?

Appointment length varies according to the specifics of each ultrasound. Allow 30 minutes total time for a basic 2D gender determination and 60 minutes for the 3D/4D packages.

Your actual scan time depends on the package chosen but the extra time allows us to provide adequate time for fetal repositioning to generate your best possible pictures.

Please keep in mind that we need to honor our other appointments and may need to reschedule your appointment if you are more than 10 minutes late.
